Love the educational content on the site. The video question and answer format is brilliant.

I have GPBuddy.ie as a favourite on my desktop and use it most days to find out information for both patients and myself. I find it incredibly useful and it saves time taking down heavy tomes of phone books from shelves and rooting around to try and find a phone number or consultant details. It is well laid out and easy to use as a website and is being updated all the time. I also like the fact that it is laid out from a geographical point of view so you have all the details of a particular specialty in a particular area/hospital together. The list of Useful Documents is invaluable and so handy to have these essential forms in one place without taking up space in the surgery. I have recommended GPBuddy.ie to other GP colleagues and am delighted that we now have such a wonderful resource at our fingertips.

Dr. Catherine Mullen GP Galway

As a GP Trainee in Sligo, I and the other GP Regs have found GPBuddy really useful - accessing direct phone numbers quickly and finding contacts for tertiary referrals. Recently started using the Useful Documents section which is also handy as opposed to having stacks of forms in drawers and not being able to find the one you want! So I think it's a great website and well done on all the hard work putting it together.

Dr. Karen Given, GP, Sligo

I have to say I'm really impressed by the site. Since I've started using it, I have taken to keeping it open all day while at work. Finding useful numbers is so easy and being able to avoid 20 minute delays on hospital switchboards is a Godsend. Being able to add numbers yourself is great. No more crumpled post-its! It's the kind of idea I wish I'd thought of myself. Well done GPBuddy!

Hi guys, love the new User Interface. Your site is now a great resource, in use every day. I haven't closed it since the update. Well done, look forward to seeing where you go with this.

I'm doing locum work at the moment and I find GPBuddy really useful. It's a great resource for finding referral information when you're working in a new area and aren't familiar with the local services. The information is reliable, it's intuitive and simple to use, and it saves loads of time. I'm particularly impressed by the search facility, where you can search by keyword (e.g. speciality/consultant name) and/or locality. Even if you know very little about what you're trying to find, it will usually get you there.

Dr. Aisling Ni Shuilleabhain GP Citywest, Dublin 24

I find this website great - useful for sourcing specialists and identifying their sub speciality with ease - no matter what city or hospital. It's great for updating fax, phone numbers and clinic times. There's a really handy database of forms that as doctors we use every day - this site makes it easy to put your hand to information and forms no matter when you need them.

Dr. Shane McCarthy GP Ballincollig, Cork

GPBuddy is one of the tabs I leave open all day. It makes sense to use IT as much as possible and in general practice we are well ahead of our hospital colleagues in using technology-based systems. Which is why it goes against the grain to have to fumble about, looking for the contact details of the consultant you want, trying to find the Post-it that says "He does Knees" or "Don't send her Rashes". What's worse, these days they shuffle about from one private clinic to another. Either way, you're constantly having to update the spreadsheet. Which is why GPBuddy is such a godsend - it does the searching for you. What's more, it saves your personal directory online.
