With a view to improving treatment outcomes for patients with chronic migraine, The Migraine Association presents this seminar to better equip HCP's to treat and support patients suffering from this chronic condition.
The first session covers "Clinical Diagnosis and Management of Migraine & Other Headache Disorders" and is presented by Esther Tomkins, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Migraine Clinic, Beaumont Hospital.
The second session, "Understanding Our Patients' Experience & Optimising Supports", will be presented by Dr. Jennifer Wilson O'Raghallaigh.
Dr Jennifer Wilson O'Raghallaigh is a Principal Clinical Psychologist at Beaumont Hospital with training in stress management, self-management, mental health and mindfulness teaching. She was pivotal in the development of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction patient programme at Beaumont which she currently delivers and she is also the psychology lead on a separate staff programme, the Resilience Plus programme for staff support and development.
In this seminar. Dr. Wilson O'Raghallaigh will provide a comprehensive overview of the key supports and strategies for supporting patients who suffer chronic pain and illness.
