Description

Dr. Tepper will present for the first time to the Irish healthcare industry, a comprehensive overview of CGRP inhibitors for the prevention and acute treatment of migraine. CGRP (Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide) is a neuropeptide which is released into the blood stream during a migraine attack and it is believed to have a central role in the underlying mechanisms of a migraine attack. CGRP drugs block the activity of the peptides, which spikes during a migraine attack. Recent results from final Phase 3 clinical trials targeting CGRPs are still producing positive results, with these drugs expected to reach the US market in 2018.

CGRP's are the first preventative medications specifically developed for migraine.

During this seminar, Dr. Tepper will also provide a comprehensive overview of the current medications available for the treatment of migraine and headache. He will discuss the use of neuromodulation in the treatment of migraine.

There will be a comprehensive Q&A session following Dr. Tepper's presentation and this event offers a rare opportunity to meet with a leading international expert in the field of headache and migraine.
